We had...
Lavender Creme Brulee. This picture is of the best looking one of the four I made.
Tim's favorite dessert is a Lavender Creme Brulee he had at Sundance. Not able to find culinary lavender anywhere, I decided to grow my own. This is the first year I put it to use. The creme brulee came out absolutely delectable. Even I liked it. Normally creme brulee is too custardy for me. That is the advantage of making it yourself--you have complete control of the number of eggs used to thicken the cream.
Below are the pork chops and asparagus we made for dinner. You can tell I don't cook that often when I feel like a meal is worthy of a picture.

I have never had Creme Brulee before. That looks amazing! I have to admit that whenever I hear the words Creme Brulee I think of My Best Friends Wedding when Julia Roberts compares the two women to desserts. :)
I suddenly have a severe craving for grilled asparagus. I somehow always come away from your blog with a new craving! At least this one is a little more healthy than cookies!
Okay, your children are adorable, but I cannot believe your amazing creme brulee picture! The dish and the photo looks professional. Amazing. I had no idea you were such a chef. I would love to try this sometime! I planted lavender in my back yard here, but no luck.
Dang girl! Those look incredible. I need that recipe. You are the woman- cooking and sewing! You are putting me to shame, that's for sure. Are you getting so excited for Em's visit?!
Wow! Are you guys having a breather? I hope things are going well. I love to see your families cute little faces. Your baby Eleanor looks like she is just fun!
Hey, if I ever made a meal that pretty, I'd take a picture too.
Congrats, I think. Its kind of like congrats for graduating from high school, to be expected but still a celebration!
