Birthday Girls

Our good friends the Talks came over to celebrate the girls birth with us. It's a good thing too because I forgot to buy a present for Eleanor. Without Wyatt's present, she wouldn't have had anything to open. I've said it before and I'll say it again...Poor Little Third.

We almost didn't give El her own cake, it was the only yellow cake after all. But despite being a Third, I guess she does deserve some of the things the other kids got.

James got to pick out the ice cream treat since I never could find an eggless cake recipe that tasted good AND could be used for decorating and tiering.

I'm speechless! Those cakes are incredible! I love them both! I will now hide all evidence on this computer to make sure my children never find out that other kids can request theme cakes/parties. (I'm with Tim on the "Less Work" philosophy.) Beautiful though!!!

Would you please tell your children to stop growing so fast?!

Buffy, those cakes ARE AMAZING! Beautifully smooth and delicious-looking. They do look like they would take time to make.

Beautiful results, and I'm proud of my boy, Tim, the doctor. He always could bring joy to any occasion!

Happy Birthdays! I swear I am working on presents... they will just always be late. That's a tradition from the Johansen family. But this is the year of remembering birthdays and being a good aunt and sending gifts. Just late.
