So I went to try my first Snicker Bar since the end of my peanut embargo and found new packaging. I sat down at the end of the day, the kids were in bed, I had a blanket and a book, my house was clean, I take the first bite and...was confused. I think, "It's been over a year, maybe I just don't remember what they taste like? Did I just brush my teeth? Maybe I got confused and this isn't really a Snicker bar." I closed the wrapper, looked at the candy bar and saw a picture of Harrison Ford along with this, "Satisfy your taste for adventure! Rich Chocolate. Crunchy nuts. And a cliffhanger kick of exotic spice and a hint of sweet coconut flavor." What is that all about? Why are so many companies pulling that crap these days. If they want to make a new candy bar, make a new candy bar. Or at least make the limited editions one look a great deal different from the original. Coconut is all well and fine, but in a Snicker bar? I of course ate it anyway, but I wasn't happy about it.

Unsatisfied with Snickers

You're right, they should package them very differently. Maybe with a big warning label. (Warning: Contains ingredients that have no business being in a Snickers bar.)
That said, I can't wait to try the adventure bar. It sounds great (but I'm not a true Snickers fan). Hope you get your real candy bar soon.
You are such a good mom! I can't believe you have held off for such a long time. Those pics of Eleanor are to die for. She is darling. I hear you about the nursing. I am in the midst of weaning Brooke bc I am back at work in the day to boot! All is well, but makes me sad to end this era (but deep down I can't WAIT!) even though the girls aren't what they used to be, that is for sure!
I agree 100% with your candy bar comments; and I feel the same way about chewing gum! The Spearmint of today is nothing like the Spearmint of my youth.
Chocolate is still a comfort, however!

Serves you right for eating peanuts, the nasty things. The whole reason I initially fell in love with you was because you claimed to not like peanuts either. Next time you are in the mood for legumes, simply eat some peas and be done with it.
