I had such a fun time planning Gillian's party. I planned on having it the week all the
Bunton's were in town since birthday parties are always more fun with cousins and grandparents. Since I knew we would probably have a brand new baby that week, I made sure to get as much done for the party ahead of time as possible.
The kids each decorated their own handy dandy notebook with stickers and then went on a cute little Blue's Clues hunt to find the location of their party favors.
I made these adorable juice pouch bags for the girl's party favors. I am afraid I ran out of energy and the boys winded up with just plain paper sacks for their party favors--poor boys.

I had the template and all the ingredients for the cakes all ready. I can't take credit for how fantastic the cake turned out however. Sara (Tim's sister) is largely responsible for the outcome. She took over for Tim when he realized how hard it was to frost a cake with cut sides.

Good job on the cake and the adorable bags! I am so impressed. Gracie had a Blue's Clues birthday last year and it was so much fun. Gillian is so adorable!
that is so so so so cute! those bags are totally awesome... and you know what, i bet the boys were just as pleased with their paper sacks, anyway. now i want a juice pack bag! :) and the cake- wow! so cool!
I actually remembered that you gave Gracie a Blue's Clues party last year and I seem to remember it sounding just awesome and incredible. I almost called you up to see what you did for the Blue's Clues hunt, but in the end, just went with what was easy despite it not matching up exactly with the format on the show.
I love your cake! Looks like she had a ton of fun. How do you make those juice pouch bags? They are so cute!
The cupcakes are too cute. :)That's a whole lot of work for someone who was just about to have and then did have a baby. I guess it just proves once again that I'm far too lazy and you are far too amazing.
Here is the website I used for the juice pouch purse instructions. They were pretty easy to make after I figured the first one out and only cost the price of a box of juice ($2.50 at Wal-Mart).
