New Siblings

At first, James and Gillian completely ignored Eleanor. James still largely ignores her, although he seems to accept her presence in our lives and occasionally shows outbursts of affection ("Mom--she's looking at me with her big, blue eyes.").

But Gillian has gone completely ga-ga. She is constantly wanting to hold Eleanor and in the car, will always hold her hand and try to calm her down. She is very sweet and gentle with her. She does realize that she has lost her place as baby and she seems sad about it, but not resentful.

Oh, that picture of Gillian and Eleanor is wonderful! What beautiful girls you have! :)I would say that picture is a blow up to poster size and frame to hang in the bedroom they'll soon share kind of picture.

Did my first comment not take? I was just exuding my joy over the beauty of this photo--and all the others--and Gillian's exqusite smile here. The baby expression is one of my very favorites and so reminiscent of my own babies' expressions!

Buffy, this blog is wonderful! I hope you won't change it for awhile. What great memories, and how nice that you didn't choose to dwell on the food poisoning episodes of Grandma and Grandpa!
