Trick-or-Treating (aka The Crying Fairy)

I made my girls be flower fairies this year, since I already had the skirts made. And there were so many cute ideas for the wings on the internet that it was super fun making the rest of the costume. I just can't get enough of sparkley things, ribbons and flowers so I am glad they are young enough to just be happy with what I make them.

I just realized that I only have pictures of Eleanor on trick-or-treating night, I could have sworn I took more, but Halloween is definitely suppose to be a two parent holiday...especially with how how complicated the girls costumes were and how paranoid I was that they would get broken or damaged.

I had decided that Eleanor couldn't be trusted with a crown, so I made flower barrettes for her instead and in a flash of genius added the ribbons. I thought they looked so cute on her. Of course the ribbons made them that much easier for her to pull off. I also love her cute little baby wand.

She was not happy when I put the wings on her.

You can tell from the back of the stroller that the costume of both girls slowly got shed as the night wore on.

James, by the way, was Iron Man for the Halloween Party and Darth Vader for trick-or-treating.

Wow, Buffy! Those wings turned out amazing. The dark blue ones are my favorite--so beautiful. She looks like the cutest little midnight fairy. I don't know how you did that!

I did those blue wings exactly how you told me you did your tinker bell wings only with blue tights rather than white. It is just a spray paint glitter. I liked the simplistic way they turned out too.
